What happened

RTVC reports Friday’s filing for Congress in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the Senate in Tenerife. Registration for Las Palmas and Gran Canaria is announced for Monday 26 October.

Cristina Valido heads the Congress list in the western province and calls for representation focused on Canary Islands demands. Monday’s planned event concerns different constituencies and does not establish that those lists are already filed.

Votuo analysis

Filing a list is distinct from electoral-board proclamation. Submitted lists are due for publication on 28 October and proclaimed lists on 3 November.

Congress and Senate constituencies differ: the Congress filing concerns Santa Cruz de Tenerife province, while the Senate information concerns Tenerife island. This filing should not be extrapolated to every island or the entire autonomous community, nor treated as proof that all announced registrations are complete.

Editorial interpretation: implications and open questions based on the cited sources.
